Maple Road, Birmingham, MI 48009 248-530-1928 www.bhamgov.org/museum Hours: Closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday Wednesday–Saturday 1pm–4pm The Birmingham Historical Museum & Park is made up of the 1928 Allen House, the 1822 John West Hunter House, and the John West Hunter Historic Park. The Allen House has two changing exhibit galleries, showcasing artifacts from the Museum collection, as well as items from local collectors. In the Allen House, see the 1920s Kitchen exhibit and the Museum Activity Room, where children can play with a dollhouse and a toy kitchen and try their hand at the crafts. Tour the Hunter House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places and furnished in the period of the 1820s-1880s. See the surprising functions of the iron, pewter and wooden implements in the kitchen! The Park is part of the trail network in the City of Birmingham, which follows the Rouge River. Parking is available across Maple Road from the Museum Complex, at the Chester Street Parking Structure. The first two hours of parking are free in all City of Birmingham parking structures
