Museum Adventure Pass, Presented By Macy’s Adds 24 Library Participants In Genesee County In Third Year of Partnership With The Cultural Alliance of Southeastern Michigan and Library of Michigan Foundation

Macy’s, the Library of Michigan Foundation and the Cultural Alliance of Southeastern Michigan are pleased to welcome 24 new library participants in Genesee County to the very popular Museum Adventure Pass program. The 20 libraries from the Genesee District Library http://www.thegdl.org/ and four libraries from the Flint Public Library http://www.flint.lib.mi.us/ will begin offering the Museum Adventure Pass to their patrons effective April 11, 2010.

The program is a partnership between 198 metro area libraries and 28 local arts and cultural organizations and provides Greater Detroit area library card holders free passes to local museums, cultural centers and historical sites. Museum Adventure Pass, presented by Macy’s was designed to enhance the learning experience for people of all ages through books and other library materials, and to provide access to arts and cultural organizations. Each Museum Adventure Pass is redeemable for two or four admissions depending on location.

Libraries have a limited number of passes for each participating organization. Passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved, renewed or requested through interlibrary loan.

One Museum Adventure Pass may be checked out per person, per loan period. The loan period is seven days. Up to two or four people may be admitted on each pass. (See the list for which organizations admit 2 and which admit 4.)

Series runs through October 24, 2010
