London, a city of over 6 million people, guarantees you will find something great to enjoy. And this is true just as much for kids as adults.
As a matter of fact, there are a lot of things to do with your kids in the city, especially during the Christmas and Easter holidays. Here is a list of things to do, serving as a guide for London trip:
1. Go to Shrek’s Adventure! London
This features over ten fairytale-themed mini-shows that are pulled from the famous film Shrek. Smell, hear, and see the entire adventure, starting with the land of Far Far Away to a ride on a magical 4D flying bus of Donkey.
While there, pay Shrek’s Swamp a visit, consider venturing through the mirror maze of insanity, and stop at Lord Farquaad’s Dungeon to solve a puzzle.
2. Tour SEA LIFE London Aquarium
Most tourists, myself included, associates a tour to London with Big Ben and black cabs. But it goes without saying, you may as well come eye-to-eye with sharks, stingrays, and sea turtles at the SEA LIFE London Aquarium, which sits a stone’s throw from Westminster Bridge.
Visiting this place can be one of the most exciting things to do in the city with your kids, especially when the British weather strikes during school holidays.
Ask one or two junior travellers about one of their favourite parts of this London Aquarium, and they will say the glass walkthrough tunnel. While here, you may watch aquatic species as they drift about your head.
In addition, the London Aquarium is home to many global habitats, including an amazing rainforest with crocodiles and polar enclosures filled with a colony of penguins.
3. Visit Saatchi Gallery
At the heart of Chelsea’s Sloane Square, discover this beautiful gem known for its contemporary and cool exhibitions that teenagers and kids alike speak highly of.
Toddlers love this place, too, thanks to the outdoor pedestrianized area near Duke York Square’s entrance, which has many cafes. This also makes it a popular spot to hang out on weekends.
4. Pay the London Eye a Visit
Whether you have kids or not, this is an absolute must in the city. The views are just amazing during sunset. And if you come along with your kids, they will simply love riding the tallest Ferris Wheel in Europe. In addition, London has a 4D movie included in your ticket. The movie is short, but it’s nicely done.
5. Tour to London Museums
Starting with the Science Museum’s wonders, discover with your kids the delight that comes with museums in London. Every kid dreams of experiencing the IMAX theatre found in the Science Museum. So, take you kids to watch spell-binding and 3D films enhanced with sound and visual effects on a screen equal to the size of around three double-decker buses.
London will always be an amazing, multi-cultural city with diverse experiences for every age. From teens to little kids, all your family members will leave London with a fond memory. Whether they love culture, science experiments, or adrenaline-filled activities, the city meets their expectations.
